Mildred “Millie” Tanner Campbell, 70, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
Born in Rowan County on August 26, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Essie Misenheimer and Wilburn George Tanner.
Mrs. Campbell attended North Rowan High School and graduated from East Rowan High School in 1971. She was a member of the Xi Alpha Delta Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She worked as an accounting specialist at Food Lion and later enjoyed being a personal care aid for the elderly. She was an active member of First United Church of Christ. Mrs. Campbell enjoyed crafting, traveling, fishing, going to the beach, and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Campbell.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Joey Campbell (Kelly); daughters, Cindy Graham (Joe) and Anna Bartlette; sisters, Linda D. Tanner, Bonnie Holshouser (Terry), and Connie Elium (Rick); grandchildren, Cullen Campbell, Kiptyn Campbell, Nikki Campbell, Kaylin Capolupo, and Gabrielle Bartlette; great-grandchildren, Farrah Talbot and Le’Ana Jade Capolupo; numerous nieces and nephews and her two best friends, Bobbie Kluttz and Freida Cope.
Service: 10:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2024 at First United Church of Christ, 207 W. Horah St, Salisbury, NC 28144. Visitation will follow the service.
