Bruce Clingman Rogers Jr.

Bruce Clingman Rogers Jr., age 91, passed away February 14, 2026 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. Bruce was born April 29, 1934 to the late Bruce C. Rogers Sr. and Mary Wise Rogers in Charlotte, NC.

Bruce retired as a traveling salesman for many years. He was also an avid golfer in which he spent many days on various courses throughout the years. Bruce cherished his family and looked forward to each holiday or meal spent with them. Bruce was very particular about his vehicles and was seen around town in his 1991 Lincoln Town Car which was always in pristine condition.

Bruce is survived by his wife Susan Rogers of 69 years who he married on July 7, 1956. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters; Shelly Hinson (Todd), Julie Eller (Mark) and son Trip Rogers (Kim), grandson Preston Rogers and granddaughters Lindsay Hayes (Dustin), Katie Lindsay, Taylor Cranford (Aaron) and great-grandson Hudson Cranford.

In addition to his parents, Bruce is preceded in death by his sister Betty Carter and brother in law Modie Carter.

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
