Obituary

Larry Phillip Cannon, 70, of China Grove, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury. He was born in Rowan County on January 3, 1948 to the late Ella Marie Honeycutt and the late Lawrence P. Cannon


Mr. Cannon graduated from NRHS in 1967. He was a member of the Spencer Moose lodge, Founder and Leader of Gospel Ministry serving Derrick Truck Stop and various Nursing Homes. He was the manager of Servco for 35 years.

Mr. Cannon is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Foley Cannon who he married on November 12, 2017, his daughters, Angela Swaim (Steven) of High Point, Jennifer Vaughn (Gregory) of China Grove, Stepchildren, Trent Foley (Misty) of Lexington, Heather Eisenman (Aaron) of King, Margaret “Margie” Ayscue (Timothy) of Lexington, Adam Foley (Andrea) of Salisbury, William Foley (Amanda) of TN. Mr. Cannon was blessed with 20 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren and One Nephew and one Great Niece.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines, 4125 Franklin Community Center Road, Salisbury, NC.

Services will be at 12:30 PM February 2, 2018 at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines with Burial to follow.

Memorials can be made to the Spencer Moose Family Center # 2019 , 1301 Elizabeth Ave., Spencer, NC, 28159.
