Teresa Parsley Fox



Teresa Parsley Fox, 61, passed away December 30th, 2017, surrounded by her family. Teresa was born on May 14th, 1956, in Rowan County. She was the daughter of Thomas Edward Parsley and Rachel Coughenour Parsley of Mocksville. She graduated from North Rowan High School, Class of 1974, and she was a proud Cavalier. Teresa was a hairdresser in both Salisbury and Statesville. She lived her life devoted Christian, wife and mother, and she loved working on genealogy as well as spending time with her family. She served for many years on the Brown-Fisher Association executive board; she also served as the editor of the “Rowan Roots” monthly newsletter. She was deeply loved by many and touched many people far and wide. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 38 years, Paul Leonard Fox Jr; her daughter, Amanda Jean Fox; her two grandchildren, Brandy Leigh Fox and Kayla Elizabeth Swicegood; her mother and father; her sister-in-law, Donna Cope Parsley; and two nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Reverend Dale Edward Parsley. Service and visitation: A graveside service will be held at the Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC on Thursday, January 4th at 10 am. A memorial service will follow. There will be a visitation held from 6-7pm and a memorial service will follow at 7. Both services will be held at Victory Baptist Church in Cooleemee. The family would like to thank the staff of Bermuda Commons nursing home in Advance, NC for the excellent care given to our Teresa.
