Michael "Mike" Larry Ross



Michael “Mike” Larry Ross, 65, passed away on Thursday, September 28th, 2017 at his residence. Michael was born June 11th, 1952 to his late father, Clifton W. Ross, and his mother, Rosa Lee Anthony Ross of China Grove. He graduated from South Rowan High School in 1970 and attended college graduating with an associate’s degree. Michael served in the US Air Force for four years and for another two years in the US Army.

Michael worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail processor. He was a life Member of the AMVETS and was made a Nation Commander on May 28th, 2010. He loved old cars and tinkering in the garage. He was a collector of all things.
Left to cherish his precious memory are his mother Rosa Lee Anthony Ross, his wife Barbara Tamm Ross whom he married on September 15th, 2012, two sons Michael A. Ross of Greensboro and Patrick N. Ross of Clinton, one daughter Kristen L. Stamper and (Christopher) of Kernersville, one brother Donald J. Ross and (Venus) of China Grove, one grandchild Aiden Stamper.
Michael’s children would like him to remembered as a “True Southern Gentleman”.

Graveside Service will be at 10:00am Friday, October 6th, 2017 at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144, with Military Honors accorded by the Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Nazareth Children’s Home, Rockwell, NC.
