Obituary

Orville Anderson Trexler, 99, of Salisbury passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Trinity Oaks.

He was born June 25, 1918 in Rowan County to the late Annie Parish Trexler and John I. Trexler.
Orville was the owner-operator of Trexler Transfers. He served in the US Navy during WWII on board the U.S.S. Robert. K. Huntington.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ellen Trexler, brothers, Ben, Henry, and Council Trexler.
Orville was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
Left to cherish his memory are his God son, David Shinn (Cathy) of Salisbury and God daughter Stephanie Taylor (Todd) of Salisbury, sister Lorene Trexler of Salisbury and God grandchildren Hannah Ellen Shinn and Robert Alexander Taylor.
Visitation: 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 29 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 205 St. Paul’s Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
Service: 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 29 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Bill Ketchie officiating. Burial to follow in the Church Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard.
