Jeffrey Thomas Smith



Jeffrey Thomas Smith, 59, of China Grove passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

He was born November 26, 1957 in Rowan County to the late Mary “Pat” Maness Smith and the late Jack Thomas Smith.

Jeff graduated from Salisbury High School in 1976. He retired from Phillip Morris as a chemical operator.

He was an avid Duke fan and Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed bowling, fishing with his buddies Zach and John, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family, and spoiling the family dog Jazzy.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Kathy Wingate.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 19 years Robin Holshouser Smith; daughter Jessica Smith of Salisbury; step daughter Alicia Lemly of Salisbury; step son Neil Ennis of Salisbury; brothers Mike Smith (Evelyn) of Rockwell; Ronnie Smith (Teresa) of Cooleemee; sisters Kay Smith of China Grove, Debbie King (Rodney) of Rock Hill, SC and grandchildren: Lexie “Pooter” Lemly and Addison Ennis.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all and will be dearly missed.

Visitation: 1:00 – 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 26 at Bethel Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 355 East Ridge Road, Salisbury, NC 28144.

Service: 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 26 at Bethel Lutheran Church with the Pastor Darrell Norris officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, 355 East Ridge Road, Salisbury, NC 28144 in his memory.
