Jackie Curlee Hudgins, 79, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
She was born August 31, 1937 in Rowan County to the late Herbert Eugene Curlee and the late Ruth McDaniel Curlee.
After attending Boyden High School she went to work for Carlex Mill to help support the family. She worked at Lyon-Shaw from the day they opened and was sold to Woodards. Jackie then proceeded to work until retirement for Woodards. Once retired, she obtained employment in the nursery at the Forum due to her passion of babies and children.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years Clement Miller Hudgins on February 24, 2011; sisters Jeannie Eller, Elaine Edson, Brenda Comen and brothers: Gene Curlee, Jr. and Ronald Curlee.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Kathy Kim Hudgins of Salisbury, two grandchildren Stacey Hattaway Bryant (Ross) and Corey Adam Burnett and four great grandchildren Matthew Dylan Bryant, Jacob Miller Bryant, Chase Timothy Bryant and Grace Louann Hamilton.
She was a member of the Spencer Eastern Star.
Jackie loved the Lord and cherished her family. She never met a stranger and made friends no matter where she went.
Graveside Service: 11:00 A.M., Wednesday May 17 at Rowan Memorial Park with the Rev. Paul Crisco officiating. Rowan Memorial Park is located at 4125 Franklin Community Road, Salisbury, NC 28144.
